Sticky Password Overview

When Sticky Password was founded its main target audience was developers, engineers and technology professionals who did most of their work in a computing environment.

At the time, online security safety was not what most people paid attention to, yet the founders were aware of the growing number of online threats and understood that protecting passwords would become a key component of online security. They knew that people were using weak passwords and reusing them across multiple websites, which made them easy targets for hackers. Sticky Password was created to help people protect their online privacy and security by providing a secure and convenient way to manage passwords.

Sustainability

Sticky Password’s parent company name “Lamantine Software” comes from the French word “lamantin”, which means manatee. The name is credited to the founder’s wife and her fondness for the sweet, large sea creatures that are sadly endangered. Her passion and enthusiasm led the company to engage with the Save the Manatee Club, a national nonprofit 501(c)(3), Florida-based organization.

Since becoming active sponsors of the Save the Manatee Club, the company donates annually to the organization, with a portion of the proceeds from each sale going to the nonprofit organization. The company has also adopted the manatee mascot as a brand ambassador for online safety and a key symbol.
